Henares Ridge

Refreshed from hustle and bustle with Henares Ridge!

The past year and a half has been extremely difficult for those of us who enjoy traveling. Yes, dealing with the global pandemic has been unpleasant, but the fact that it has put a stop to our ability to travel throughout the world has been much more upsetting. Fortunately, things are beginning to look good, and hopefully by 2022, we will be able to resume our explorations.

Gensan has a lot to offer in terms of discovery and exploration. If you're considering where you might want to travel on your next adventure, Henares Ridge is a great place to start. Henares Ridge, the newest nature haven in this hilly barrio of Purok Monkik, Brgy. San Jose, General Santos City, offers a spectacular view of the green mountains and undulating slopes.

Henares Ridge  is intended to delight you in every way. Relax both your mind and your eyes. Feel the coolness and freshness of the breeze caress your body as you take in the beauty of nature. Allow the good times to roll with your family, friends, and loved ones while admiring the beauty of the city lights from above. Enjoy the stunning scenery, both during the day and at night, as well as the healthful dishes that will delight both your eyes and your stomach.

Of course, Henares Ridge wouldn't be complete without magnificent photographs. Each section of the location is accompanied by a lovely graphic that gives you an idea of what to expect when you arrive. The photographs alone are enough to satisfy our wanderlust for a time, bringing back memories of our past trip to Sanchez Peak.

If you are considering a vacation there, it is important to stay up to date on the pandemic situation as well as the current entrance restrictions. Visitors from all over the Philippines and even internationally if possible are welcome to cross the border into Henares Ridge as long as they have proof of vaccination and a negative COVID test. Remember that no existing destinations are completely open without some form of limitation.

Hopefully, with continuing caution and patience, we will all be able to embark on some incredible travels next year. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy.

Cajun Seafood Boil

A mukbang or meokbang (Korean:, pronounced [mk.pa], also known as an eating show) is an online audiovisual broadcast in which a host consumes various amounts of food while interacting with the audience, which first became popular in South Korea in 2010 and has since spread globally. Its popularity grew as a result of its stark contrast to Korean societal and gender norms, as well as food etiquette. Korea has a strong food culture. Many people believe that mukbang arose as a result of the increasing loneliness of single Koreans in the digital age. But what is it about it that makes it so appealing to so many people? Visual hunger, or the concept of "eating with our eyes," is one possible explanation. Because the brain and visual system are so closely linked, looking at beautiful images of food increases the human desire for it as well as the satiation of hunger. Because of the widely spread of mukbang around the world, people have been introduced to a lot of different foods of...

Zamboanga's Best

In 2013, the city of Zamboanga went on a war between military troops and rebel fighters. Over a thousand locals were hurt and displaced. Homes were destroyed by fire. Schools and businesses were shut down. But despite the chaotic situation, the people of Zamboanga were able to stand up and bounce back. They were able to maintain the colorful land, culture, tradition, and food. One of the unique delicacies in Zamboanga is the knickerbocker. The knickerbocker is a localised version of the famous Filipino dessert – halo-halo. But the difference is, it is made of fresh fruits, and it is healthier. It mixes chunks of banana, mango, apple, watermelon, gelatin, milk with vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry ice cream on top.  by: Fatsen Amano Luckily Natebby's KnickerBocker finds a way to serve this comfort food to Henerals! Natebby's KnickerBocker started in late 2019. Originally Natebby's KnickerBocker began to as a simple gest of cooking for family and friends. Until 2021 when Na...
